While quarantine has certainly slowed things down, virtual events are still going in full swing. These promise to be a new challenge for the students- some happening on national platforms, and others being exclusive to Scholastican club members.

The Monthly Science Olympiads:

Scholastica Science Club 

Scholastica Science Club holds a monthly science Olympiad that puts all its participants to test. With questions coming from different segments of science and technology, the Olympiad encourages and evokes scientific thinking. The most recent Olympiad, which was held in September, saw a great success in terms of mass participation. The Olympiad for this month- and beyond- aims to instill a deep sense of wonder and an unquenchable thirst for scientific knowledge into all those who dare tackle it. 

Programming Club Event: December

Scholastica Programming Club is in the upper echelon of hosting premier programming contests. Some might think typing random strings of words whilst staring into a lifeless screen is tedious and uninteresting. But programming is definitely not like that! It is about solving problems, reaching your target while approaching various obstacles and eventually reaping the rewards of your own work. The event aims to be the hallmark of programming excellence- all the more reason why you should be participating this December!

Math Olympiad

Mathematics is the language of the universe. It is written into the very background of this beautiful dimension we live in. Hence, it is our responsibility to appreciate this wonderful language and interpret the magic within. Scholastica Math Club is back once again for the Mathematics Olympiad which will aim to test the mathematical knowledge and analytical thinking of all those who participate! There are going to be all types of math ranging from number theory to algorithms to sequences, so get ready with your big brains and polished calculators, for the best is yet to come!

1st Super Maniacs National Mega Festival 2020

Hosted by Super Maniacs, this event is set to recruit the most enthusiastic of participants, with competitions ranging from Marvel DC and Anime Quizzes to Netflix Quizzes. And it does not end here- there is a huge prize pool of thirty thousand taka (30,000 BDT). The deadline for submission and registration is on the sixth of November, so hurry! Labyrinth of Talents 

Organized by the Golden Bangladesh Co-Curricular Society, “Labyrinth of Talents” is set to ignite curiosity within multi-talented participants. With 20 different contests- from Math Olympiad to Meme Making- and a prize pool of twenty thousand taka (20,000 BDT), nothing is left out! All submissions will be judged by a highly qualified and skilled panel of judges to ensure fair competition. The event will be starting from the 21st of November. Art Against Rape 

Rape is a growing problem within the chasms of Bangladesh. Organized by Women Opportunities, “Art Against Rape” points the finger directly at the roots of the problem. Rape is a serious issue and must be acknowledged by each and every citizen of our country. The event aims to diminish this shameful act from the very base, thereby shattering the taboo of victim silencing in doing so. Contests range from case studies, story writing, digital painting to filmmaking and so much more. “Art Against Rape” starts from the 15th of November.
