Events, during the month of October, in which students can participate freely, include National Astro Carnival, Scholastica Intra-School Music Fest and Scholastica Speaks, a seminar where representatives of four prestigious universities – Harvard, Pomona, Stanford, and Wellesley will be present.
National Astro Carnival
Organized by Bangladesh Space Research Society, the National Astro Carnival was held for three days, from the 7th to the 9th of October. The event, hosted at Jamuna Future Park by Rotaract Club of Dhaka Dynamic, had 19 different segments including competitive and show segments among others.
The competitive segment ranged from an Olympiad to presentations to art exhibition and much more. On the other hand, the show segment boasted cosplay, gaming, and celebrity appearances along with meet and greets. All of these events were open to both participants and visitors.
Participants were grouped into two categories – Junior (from class 8 to 10) and Senior (from class 11 to university level).
Scholastica Intra-School Music Fest
Scholastica, Mirpur campus, will be hosting a competition-based Music Fest starting from the 3rd of October. In this Music Fest, students can submit their performances online either solo or as part of a team/duo. Students will be grouped into two categories: Junior (from class 7 to 9) or Senior (from class 10 to 12). Registrations have been open since the 3rd of October and will stay open till the 14th. Results for the first round will be released on the 17th of October.
Scholastica Speaks
University representatives from top universities such as Harvard, Pomona, Stanford and Wellesley will be present in a seminar where application review and financial aid will be discussed. They will speak about how they evaluate applications and also what role different parts of an application play. The event will take place on the 19th of October at 5 P.M.
