Many big events are coming over the horizon that is going to be a breath of fresh air. These events are in Scholastica premises, club exclusives, and also on national and international levels.
Monthly Mathletics of Scholastica Math club
Math Club hosts Monthly Mathletics to test the theories and concepts the students have learned with a ranking system. This has been continued since the beginning of the Math Club. This is an exciting competition with all types of maths from number theory, geometry, algorithms, sequences, and more. It is a fun and competitive activity that any enthusiastic mathematician can participate in. It is a great way for students to develop intuitive thinking skills and learn new types of math like Calendar Math, Handshake Problem, Magic square, and Brain Teasers. Students will not only learn new material but will apply their previous knowledge from normal classes to fun and challenging problems.
The Monthly Science Olympiads by Scholastica Science Club
The Olympiad is a super fun way to assess your knowledge of science subjects like scientific disciplines, including earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. In the Science club, there are also fun lessons about robotics and start-up ideas.
MUNs and Mooting in IR club
Projects under International Relations to enhance public speaking. These competitions due to the present pandemic cannot be held physically, so it is decided to be taken online. You get to be a country and boast its achievements but hide its flaws. In Mooting, you can be a prosecutor and defendants.
1st National Amader Shonkolpo Fundraising Carnival 2020
‘Amader Sonkolpo’ has 9 exciting events for you! Those are:- Team-Based Quiz, Extempore Speech, Song, Cinematography, Meme, Photography DSLR, Photography Mobile, Artwork, Story Writing, and Dance. This carnival attracts students with interests all over Bangladesh. Registration ends in 12 days on October 10th, so sign up!
DMCQS Presents 1st General Knowledge Quiz Competition 2020
Dhaka Medical College Quizzing Society (DMCQS) is proud to announce its “1st General Knowledge Quiz Competition” where you, the brilliant minds of our country, will compete against each other with such intensity that it will make you say like Tai Lung from Kung Fu Panda, “Finally! A Worthy Opponent! Our battle will be legendary!”
Two rounds- (Written Round): Round 1 will be taken via a google form. Questions will cover but will not remain confined to Sports, Literature, Art, Politics, History, Pop culture, etc. And (Buzzer Round): Then the teams will fight each other in the stage round which will be conducted by our honorable quiz masters via Google Meet.
All members of Champion, 1st Runner-up, and 2nd Runner-up teams will receive Crests and Certificates of excellence. And all participants will get a certificate of participation.
Competitions are until October 2nd.
Astrox-Club of Astronomical Science presents AstroMania 1.0
The ASTROX club of astronomical science is launching their first-ever astronomy event, AstroMania 1.0 Being under self-quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic, They have got to realize the power of unity on a spiritual and virtual level. On this note, for making this quarantine more productive the ASTROX club introduces its first-ever online event: Different SEGMENTS like Astro Olympiad, Astro Based Solo Quiz Quiz, PowerPoint Presentation Astro Illustration & Vector Art, Astronomy based Story Writing, Astronomy based Drawing, Fiction Writing (Bangla/English), Space Flight Simulator (Gaming), Physics Olympiad, Chemistry Olympiad, Biology Olympiad, Google IT, Photography Contest, Memecon.
And there is a prize money of Tk. 50 thousand!
Amidst all uncertainties and complications presented by recent situations, events will continue and so will human life. We’d only have to be creative and innovative to overcome these. But for now, we can be excited to participate in these events, even though virtually, and have a taste of the aspects of life we are missing.
