As season 2 of ‘You’ ended with Love Quinn’s pregnancy reveal, it was clear that Joe’s life is going to take an uncomfortable turn.
We see both of them with their new born Henry move to a quiet California suburb for a fresh start to become the ideal family. Unfortunately, the serial killer instincts doesn’t go away from either of them.
This suburban life doesn’t suit Joe and he struggles with parenthood, he feels he doesn’t have a good bond with his son. Love notices that Joe’s heart isn’t in it but he is still trying. He tries being a good father and husband but it is clear he doesn’t like this life. He tries to adjust to Love’s post pregnancy mood swings but gets annoyed quickly.
Joe spends his time hating on his current life and thinking about how great his previous life was. While Love is taking care of Henry, Joe is busy stalking their neighbour. This frustrates Love. It’s hard for them to maintain a healthy relationship when both of them have so much contempt towards each other even though they used to be in love.
As the series progresses we see both of them murder a countless people breaking their vow to never kill . They end up destroying a lot of lives including their own. The complexity of the series and unexpected twists are what keeps the watchers engaged. Even though this season was different from the other seasons It’s still very addictive and undoubtedly the best season of the series.
