It is 2004. A new phenomenon is getting into areas such as railway stations, bus stations and airport queues. It’s the sight of people engrossed, not in a newspaper, but into the latest invention, the electronic book reader. E-books have several features which attract people. But It’s ability to let users buy or rent their favorite books on the go was the revolutionizing one. Moreover, an E-reader is capable of holding thousands of books while weighing less than one , and the convenience provided due to add-on features are just incomparable to any conventional book. Any device that can display text on a screen may act as an
E-reader ; however, specialized E-reader devices will optimize its portability, readability, and battery life for this purpose. They are a blessing to the short-sighted people as the size of the print can be increased and not only that but also the brightness can be adjusted too. Furthermore , E-readers can personalized to the users reading style as well. There is no need for bookmarks or the frustration of losing the place in a conventional book, as the E-reader remembers where you stopped reading and take you directly to that point when you open up to start reading again. However, E-reader could not pass the test of time , mainly because of the invention of its more practical counterpart, the smartphone. Nevertheless it has brought important data and knowledge to bring nothing but good to the field of technology.
