We all are accustomed to the fashion trends set up every year. If you are oblivious of them then  you are probably living under a rock. I think it’s safe to say the last decade by far has had some of the best and worst trends, best only if you can pull it off . Today we’re here to talk about some disastrous fashion trends that did not turn out to be as cool as we imagined. 

Prairie dresses

First of all, what is that name? This 1970’s look was revived thinking it can handle the modern heat. This dress with a high-neck silhouette with exaggerated ruffles and puff sleeves is apparently a fashion statement. Although the fashion has been modified to fit the modern era , some still agree upon the fact that the actual style indeed was a disaster. 

Birkenstocks 

Birkenstocks became quite trendy around the vsco girl era, all the aesthetic and “omg im so quirky and different” girls owned a pair.however, we can’t deny the fact that apart from looking comfortable, they seem to be made for elderly women. I don’t know but nowadays people choose fashion over comfort so yeah.

The sagging trousers

 Why would one wear their pants so low that it’s almost like falling off? This probably was not meant to be a trend, however somehow people managed to make it so viral that men were seen even celebrities following this trend. Recently rappers have been seen intentionally pulling their pants down and carrying out this trend which many still don’t get. Weird, right?

Corsets

Let’s talk corsets. They don’t look bad but they set the wrong idea. A corset is a woman’s tightly fitting undergarment extending from below the chest to the hips, worn to shape the figure. Why is it bad? It brings down women that dont have the “ideal” body type which is a skinny waist so they feel the need to fake it, it triggers a lot of people and it is bad for your health since it can give you a hard time breathing. Again people prefer fashion over comfort so here we go.

Tiny Micro Bags 

Well I don’t know how many of you are familiar with this accessory  but the micro bags have been in the limelight since 2015. They are super tiny bags which cannot even hold your phone . Despite the bag having no good use, numerous brands are manufacturing and selling them at high price as collectables. Indeed a fashion fail , they look like tiny doll bags we used to play with.

Clear Mom Panel Jeans  

These have been a new upgrade to the over ripped jeans ,where instead of having a rough ripped patch a huge junction of the jeans is cut off from the knees and clear plastic is attached. They looked hideous but surprisingly these things sold out real fast. Still wonder why ugh. 

Clear Accessories 

Fashion took its route from folds and layers of clothes to being just transparent. This part covers all the transparent items starting from the transparent boots to jeans and bags. Somehow we managed to get hyped about items too expensive that are indeed equal to having nothing. Like the transparent clothes specifically change the purpose of clothes from covering our bodies to being just a  fashion trend and you get the rest.
