“It is a great privilege to receive the opportunity to be the president of such a prestigious
club and be able to work collaboratively with so many talented writers and wholesome
individuals. The stallion has always interested me throughout the years and I feel honoured to
be able to contribute to its success. Despite writing not being one of my strongest suits, I can
however admire a beautiful piece of article when I see one.”

“The magazine club is like an excuse for me to indulge in literature once again but with a
different approach. It's an impeccable platform to guide the young enthusiasts such as myself to
be more inclined towards writing articles which will always benefit us in the long run.”

“For someone who is quite passionate about writing, the stallion provided me with a
magnificent platform to express myself through writing and share my love for it.”

Amid all the doubts surrounding this discarded club, I firmly believed that SRM has a significant
number of enthusiastic writers with immense potential; all that we lacked was a solid framework
that would ensure both persistence and quality content without overworking members.”

“Writing is my first love. It gives me the ability to ignite passion within the dullest of
minds, and that’s a superpower in my opinion.”

“Richard Bach once said, “A professional writer is an amateur who didn’t quit.”
When I was young, writing was definitely not one of my strongest points. For this I used to often
get criticized by my family members and teachers. Only day I happened to overhear my English
teacher who was worried that my academic results might be overshadowed by my inability to
produce good write-ups and that my grades might drop. That is when I decided that I won’t let
myself fall behind. I took pen and paper and started practicing writing with maximum efforts.
It was not an easy phase. Sometimes I used to get tired both mentally and physically and
wanted to give up. On the other hand, a part of me knew that giving up was not the solution and
thus I continued working hard towards my goal. Now, after almost 3 years of practicing, I can
confidently and proudly say that my writing has definitely improved and more importantly, I have
found my passion in writing.
From my personal experience, I can say that if anyone tries hard enough to achieve something,
then they will absolutely be able to do that. I strongly believe that “The Stallion” will give your
writing room to grow.”

“The Stallions has been an integral part of my journey in Scholastica. While writing is an art I am still trying to develop today, the skills that I took away from the club have been foundational to my growth. In the classroom, we are taught a very formal writing style, which is bound by strict rules. What ‘The Stallions’ provided me was an opportunity to take those lessons and apply them in an out-of-classroom setting. It set the stage for members to express their views and interests, opening the way for greater discourse. My experiences as part of this club have been incredibly helpful in my current role as the content lead for The Capsule – a bite-sized newsletter covering the latest in South Asia and more.

“I have always had a strong appreciation for good writing. Part of that stems from the fact that I could never truly master the art that well.

Throughout my amazing time at Scholastica, I have met many incredible writers-a few of who even had their books published! However, I noticed that few schools-if any-had independent, student-run publications.
Contrarily, this was already popular in other parts of the globe. I knew that I wanted to change this.
In 2017, I collaborated with a few friends who shared the dream to have Scholastica’s own publication. That is how “The Stallion” was born. I

believed that the magazine could do more than just provide an avenue for budding writers, it could give all students and alums a strong sense of school spirit. Having been out of school for over a year now, I am more excited than ever to read about all the outstanding achievements of Scholasticans, the common experiences, the jokes, and more. I wish the new team all the luck in the world for making the club a success!”

“The Stallions has been one of the highlights of my experience at Scholastica. What was an initially a bold initiative taken by a group of high school students to start the first online news platform of Scholastica, soon developed into a strong community of writers, photographers, aspiring economists, sports enthusiasts, and much more. The Stallions has not only been rewarding for me on an intellectual level, allowing me to explore my interest in Economics and Global affairs through the lens of a critical writer, but has also led me to develop strong personal relationships with the people involved in this organization. No doubt, I have made meaningful relationships through The Stallions, shaping the course of my life in the process. I strongly believe The Stallions will continue to provide the highest quality of informative and entertaining content to its readers, and express my confidence in the new leaders of this club.”
