Samiu Hossain

Strategist

“Richard Bach once said, “A professional writer is an amateur who didn’t quit.” When I was young, writing was definitely not one of my strongest points. For this I used to often get criticized by my family members and teachers. Only day I happened to overhear my English teacher who was worried that my academic results might be overshadowed by my inability to produce good write-ups and that my grades might drop. That is when I decided that I won’t let myself fall behind. I took pen and paper and started practicing writing with maximum efforts. It was not an easy phase. Sometimes I used to get tired both mentally and physically and wanted to give up. On the other hand, a part of me knew that giving up was not the solution and thus I continued working hard towards my goal. Now, after almost 3 years of practicing, I can confidently and proudly say that my writing has definitely improved and more importantly, I have found my passion in writing. From my personal experience, I can say that if anyone tries hard enough to achieve something, then they will absolutely be able to do that. I strongly believe that “The Stallion” will give your writing room to grow. I hope we can work together to make this 2020-21 session a memorable one.”

Editor of Sports Column

When a few friends came together with a passion for writing, it was their dream and aspiration
to make it into reality. Who would’ve thought those people would find others with similar
interests and ideas for the same goal. They would go on to become the club leaders and bring
their dream into fruition. This tale of me and my friends with the past club leaders must give you
an idea of why I became part of this revolutionizing club. Like none other in Bangladesh, The
Stallions Magazine club has given opportunities to talented and creative enthusiasts, with a
wide variety of topics to let them express through their pieces. The brilliant writers, great editors,
and outstanding board of leaders made the club what it is. Last year, I started as just an
ambitious writer, not being great at the craft but determined to persevere. I am greatly honored
to continue the legacy of this club by being part of the Editorial Department. To end it off, it is
simple yet challenging but it starts with you, a pen, and a piece of paper; that’s the beauty of
writing.

Aniqa Nawar

Editor of Student Life Column

“Writing is an alternative way of  playing with words. From my childhood,  I was interested in writing since it is  one of the finest ways of portraying my feelings and emotions. Writing has given me the opportunity to articulate my thoughts and share it with others. In fact, it has also given me the chance to explore the world around me and enhance my critical thinking skills. I always like  to read articles in magazines, both online and offline as it revives my mood. In my leisure time , I used to write poems , quotes and short stories. Therefore last year I joined The Stallion  Magazine Club and worked as a writer since I didn’t want to miss such an amazing opportunity of sharing my writings with others.  This year, I have joined  the Stallion Magazine Club as a writer and editor since I believe I have gained enough experience to assist others to come up with  exemplary writeups for each publication. The Stallion Magazine has provided a permanent platform to young writers of Scholastica to showcase their writing skills. So I hope to enjoy my journey as an editor as well as a writer this session  and  I am truly honoured to be a part of the Stallion Magazine Club”.

I am an avid reader. I also cherish writing. I love to work with like-minded people. The idea of working with other writers and help capturing their thoughts and imagination in words intrigues me. This is why I was one of the editors for the school year-book when I was in class VIII. This is why I feel absolutely privileged to be the editor of upcoming events for The Stallions Magazine.
